Just as you wouldn’t buy a car without test-driving it, or buy a house without inspecting it, neither should you plan on giving birth at a location you haven’t toured or asked important questions about their philosophies and policies for labor and birth. Choosing the ideal setting to give birth to your baby is one of the most important choices you can make, and ideally should be categorized as both “Mother Friendly” and “Baby Friendly”. If that is not possible, please tour all your options with a list of well thought out questions of your labor and birthing options, as well as the type of care your baby will receive so you can make the best possible choice for your new family.
